Present Continuous Tense biasa disebut juga Present Progressive Tense adalah bentuk waktu yang digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu perbuatan, keadaan atau peristiwa yang sedang terjadi pada saat dibicarakan.

·         Rumus Present Continuous Tense

Bentuk	Rumus
Positif (+)	Subyek (I-You-She-He-It-We-They) + to be (am,is,are) + (V1 +ing)
Negatif (-)	Subyek (I-You-She-He-It-We-They) + to be (am,is,are) +  (V1 +ing)
Interogatif (?)	To be (am,is,are) + Subyek (I-You-She-He-It-We-They) + (V1 +ing) ?

·         Contoh Kalimat Present Continuous Tense

Ø  Positif

-          I am reading a book

-          The students are playing football in the field

Ø  Negatif

-          The students are not playing football in the field

-          Ms. Nita is not teaching mathematic in the class

Ø  Interogatif

-          Am I reading a book?

-          Are the students playing football in the field?
